【Motor】Single-phase induction motor stator rotor failure cause
The motor is represented by the letter M in the circuit (D in the old standard), its main role is to generate driving torque, as a power source for electrical appliances or various machinery, and the generator is represented by the letter G in the circuit, and its main role is to use mechanical energy to convert into electrical energy. Stator faults are one of the most common failures. This paper mainly analyzes the causes of three types of faults: short circuit between turns of stator core, stator winding winding and winding insulation.
1. Iron core failure The stator core of the single-phase induction motor is fixed on the stator bracket with a silicon steel sheet clamping core, and because of this structure, if the stator core is damaged, a short circuit between the stator pieces will be formed. The stator has high temperature, large loop current, and high-temperature decomposition of insulating materials. The current flowing through the short-circuit position of the core is constantly increasing. At a certain point, the stator core silicon steel sheet will be melted, resulting in the insulating windings in the stator slot being burned, and the coil must be replaced. Most of the causes of this kind of failure are manufacturing defects, and the insulation damage between the stator iron chips of the motor caused by the violent vibration of the motor is also one of the causes of the failure. 2. Winding insulation failure The failure of single-phase induction motors is often caused by defects such as winding insulation voids or mixed with impurities. Insulation defects are mainly caused by the production process, so the operation and service life of the motor are closely related to the production process. Insulation defects and insulation aging caused by insulation faults are manifested as the increase of active discharge in the motor, through some detection experiments can obtain some data parameters of insulation aging, through analysis can judge the degree and cause of insulation aging. Short-circuit fault between turns of stator windings The short circuit between turns of the stator winding is also one of the common faults of single-phase induction motors, and the causes of the failure are mainly caused by unqualified production process and abnormal operation.
